payments are handled by

our secure online payment service. Your contact data (like your email

purposes only and is kept confidential by Australia Gift Shop and
PayPal. Your billing data (like your credit card number) is NEVER
disclosed to Australia Gift Shop. YOUR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT IS
PROCESSED IMMEDIATELY, IN REAL-TIME. CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ARE SENT

OTHER PAYMENT METHOD ( NON-INTERNET ) :
This option is payment by cheque (which is
very slow) or
by Telegraphic Transfer (or Wire Transfer) - which is excellent for larger
purchases (over $1000).
We certainly take lots of
cheques within Australia. Internationally, if we
receive a cheque in another currency (eg. in GB₤
Pounds or US$ Dollars) then we must pay
our bank $10 for the cheque currency conversion. However, the main issue
here is the time it takes to deliver the cheque to Australia and then to
wait for the cheque to clear before the order can be dispatched.
Choose this option in our shopping cart if you are willing to pay the
extra fee for the cheque currency conversion and willing to wait
approximately 6 to 7 weeks before
receiving the goods. We will then be happy to email you the total in your
currency (including cheque currency conversion fee and postage cost).
Please make out the cheque to AUSTRALIA GIFTS ONLINE .
This precise name is required on the cheque because it is our government
registered business name ( see
http://www.australiagift.net/faq/index.asp?CATE=0#1 ) and the name of
our business cheque account.
IMPORTANT: Please cross the cheque, that is, make it /
non-negotiable / . This means that it can only be cleared or cashed
through the payee's (our) business cheque account.
2. Delivery Policy :
We send
your purchase via Air Mail from Australia. The average delivery time to
the USA, Europe, Britain and Canada is within 6-14 business days.
Delivery to our South-East Asian neighbours, such as Singapore, is usually
within 8 business
days.
We do offer Express Courier as an option in our shopping
cart. You are given this option after completing your
customer details when making a purchase. It is expensive for small
(light weight) orders, although it is very fast - with orders being
delivered to metropolitan areas anywhere in the world within 2 to 5 business
days.
If you make payment by cheque
(non-Internet) you need to be willing to wait approximately 6 to 7 weeks
before receiving the goods. This is due to the time it takes to deliver the
cheque to Australia and then to wait for the cheque to clear before the
order can be dispatched. A foreign cheque (check) takes one month to clear
with Australian banks.

3. Privacy Policy :
We are committed to protecting your privacy and
the privacy of information you provide to us. Australia Gift Shop
will never give, sell, rent or lease customer or affiliate information to third
parties.

Refunds Policy :
Customer
satisfaction is our primary concern. When we issue a customer refund we
include original shipping/postage charges too.
If a customer is not 100% satisfied with the quality of a product due to
damage or a fault in that product, we immediately give the customer a
refund of 100% of the purchase price including original shipping/postage
charges too.
However, in some instances, at our reasonable discretion, it is
necessary for us to observe the damage or fault
(either physically or by emailed image) before considering whether a
refund is warranted and before agreeing to
refund the customer. We supply a number of totally handmade products/artifacts
which display markings and inconsistencies that are an inherent part of
the very nature of the product, rather than what may be perceived
as damage or a fault.
By the way, our only refunds in the last year have not been due to any
problem with a product per se. It has been because we could not deliver
the order by the required date or due to the fact that we did not
have/could not procure the large quantity of stock that the customer
ordered (insufficient stock available).
The only exception to this was an Aussie Slouch Hat which had one cork
missing when it arrived at its destination.
We simply sent another hat that day, free of charge and with apologies,
of course.
