Australia Gift Shop is an
online gift shop based in Bundaberg in the state of Queensland in
Australia. We sell gifts and souvenirs from Australia which mainly feature the
traditional designs of the indigenous people of this continent, the
Australian Aborigines.
These distinctive and artistic designs
represent aspects of the mythical Dreamtime, the time of creation
according to Aboriginal spiritual beliefs. This highly-stylized painting
is an art form which began to develop between 100,000 and 40,000 years ago
on the walls of caves, on rock faces and on tree bark.
Australia Gift Shop began
online operations in August, 2000, selling Australiana gifts and souvenirs featuring
designs created by Aboriginal artists in Queensland in north-eastern
Australia.
